The Talented Star Baby Alums!
The Austin Film Society has announced this year’s honorees of the Texas Film Hall of Fame, with Sony Pictures Classics co-founder Michael Barker, actress Chandra Wilson and actor Jesse Plemons set to be lauded on the eve of this year’s South by Southwest festival.
Dallas-born Plemons is receiving the Rising Star Award of the Texas Film Hall of Fame. The actor landed his breakout role in the Texas-centric series “Friday Night Lights” where he played Landry Clarke. Since that role, Plemons played a cold-blooded killer in “Breaking Bad,” and landed roles in “Black Mass,” “Bridge of Spies” and the second season of FX’s “Fargo.”
The Texas Film Hall of Fame awards will be presented at Austin Studios March 10, the night before the March 11 start of SXSW.
